Twas the Night Before Christmas has been reimagined into a hip hopping, reindeer infested tale of joy by Cirque du Soleil. Enter the gravity-defying acrobats, jugglers, roller skating, dancing, music, lights, sets, and costumes.
Isabelle (Michele Clark) is bored by her father’s (Alexis Vigneault) annual reading of his time honored tradition of reading this story to her. Until spritely creatures of snow whisk Isabelle to another world to show her what she is missing.

Upset by her disappearance her father goes in a search for his child.

Acrobatic choreography and performance design by Edesia Moreno, melts into the contemporary dance choreography by Vinh Nguyen Kinjaz. Each defiance of gravity astounds as the show builds and builds with its feats of daring and beauty.

The score is Christmas songs and original music for the season thanks to Jean-Phi Goncalves and sound design by Ben Scheff.

As the light is passed to each person on stage, the beauty of giving and the light within us all is enhanced. This message is one we all need to learn and one that makes this season bright.

In the end Santa arrives bringing joy and magic to us all. And all those visions of sugar plums dancing merrily in our head are quelled for another year longer, thanks to the wonderment of Cirque du Soleil.
‘Twas The Night Before…by Cirque du Soleil plays at The Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden plays until Dec. 29th.
